How to Use This Checklist
Do not try to do everything at once. Work through it in this order:
Week 1: Sections 3 and 4 (profiles and platforms). These are the quickest wins.
Week 2-3: Section 1 (structured data). This may require a developer but has massive impact.
Month 2: Section 2 (content). Start rewriting your most important pages.
Month 3: Sections 5 and 6 (technical and authority). Address technical issues and begin building authority.
Ongoing: Section 7 (monitoring). Make this a permanent part of your routine.
The Payoff
Businesses that complete this checklist are positioned to appear in AI-generated answers across Google, ChatGPT, and Perplexity. That is where a growing percentage of new customers are finding service providers. The effort is real, but the opportunity is enormous.
